         SUBJECT: Allotment of Appeals to Commissioner of Customs (Appeals), Cochin – Reg.

           Commissioner of Customs (Appeals), Cochin has been conferred jurisdiction interalia, in relation to the order or decision of officers subordinate to the Commissioner of Customs, Mangalore, vide GOI Notification No.29/97-Cus (NT) dated 7.7.97.

 2.         Considering the above, it is hereby informed that all appeals in relation to an Order or decision of officers subordinate to the Commissioner of Customs, Mangalore, will be dealt with by Commissioner of Customs (Appeals), Cochin.

 3.          However, any order heard or partially heard by Commissioner (Appeals), Bangalore in respect of such Appeals as on 15.9.2000 will be disposed of by Commissioner (Appeals), Bangalore. 

4.           This issues with the approval of the Commissioner of Customs, Mangalore.
